I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving yesterday! Our’s was the best one yet. I didn’t leave the house yesterday, despite putting on a nice outfit, pretty shoes, and lipstick. I was so happy to spend the day with my siblings and family. We ate, ate, played games, and then ate some more. It was my kind of day. Oh, and we took some photos at some point during the fun. Thanksgiving is such a special holiday, because it’s so easy to get caught up in our busy lives and not take the time to step back and look at all the wonderful things we have to be thankful for. I’m so grateful for this holiday, to pause and just take notice of my blessings. I’m thankful for this life, and the fact that I’m still here living it, surrounded by the ones I love. I’m thankful for good friends, good health, and warm blankets at night. For early bedtimes (Rosalie and Llewyn both slept 12 hours last night (Praise!!)) I’m thankful for His grace, and that He loves me enough to save me, even though I don’t deserve it. I’m thankful for those little moments when I watch my babies sleep, and just all the little things. God is good!
Here are so photos!
^^I made a chocolate pecan pie, and it was yummy!^^
^^ My turkey turned our really well… (all those poor holes from stabbing it with the meat thermometer) I was really nervous because it was my first time cooking one, and of course David buys an organic expensive one, so the pressure was on that much more. I’d do it again though! I wanted to take more photos of the dishes I made, but when the food is hot, and your little ones are going tot let you eat… YOU EAT^^
