Grapefruit Mint Sugar Scrub

Grapefruit Mint Scrub

1/2 cup of coconut oil (firm)

1/2 cup sugar

zest of 1 grapefruit

25 drops grapefruit essential oil

10 drops peppermint essential oil

1/4 teaspoon of beet juice (for color, optional)

Mix firm coconut oil and sugar in a stand mixer until it forms a think paste. Add zest, essential oils, & beet juice. Mix on low speed until well blended. Turn to medium speed until mixture is fluffy. Store in air tight glass jar in refrigerator.




Whole 30 Pumpkin Spice Energy Bites

For all of you Whole 30-ers, or anyone looking for a healthy energizing snack, I thought I would share this recipe with you. I realize while on the whole 30 you aren’t suppose to give in to sweets, dessert like foods, or snacks….but when I do whole 30, my main goal is just to stay within the guidelines of no refined sugar, dairy, gluten and soy. I love these for breakfast with my coffee, or with my afternoon tea. Using the cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove essential oils make a huge difference in my opinion!

whole 30 pumpkin spice energy bites

1 cup of mission figs or dates

1/2 cup pecans

1/3 cup pumpkin puree

1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes (optional)

2 tsp unsweetened almond milk

2 drops of cinnamon vitality essential oil

2 drops nutmeg vitality essential oil

2 drops of clove vitality essential oil

Blend all ingredients in a food processor or blender, until forms a paste (may need another tsp of almond milk) Roll into balls and line on parchment lined cookie sheet. Place in fridge until set. Enjoy!
